Homework: Thursday, January 23

Music of the 1960's and/or Protest Music

Find a song from the 1960's (It is ok if your musical selection is from the early 1970's as well)(Title, Author) and read the lyrics.  Analyze the song:  What is the message?  Is it a protest song?  What emotions does it draw out to the listener?  Could this song be relevant today at all? 

Be prepared to share your thoughts.  We will listen to your selections and discuss your analysis in class on Friday.
